Water separators of Parker domnick hunter are removing mechanically 90% of water and liquid oil content of compressed air. Separators use the centrifugal technique in conjunction with directional changes and have been optimized to provide maximum separation efficiency whilst reducing energy costs. Bulk liquid is removed from the air stream and driven out of the housing by a condensate drain. There are high pressure (50 bar g) models of water separators too.
