Pure gas generators for gas chromatography

Carrier gas

For the mobile phase of the analysis, a carrier gas is necessary. The consistent and reliable purity of the carrier gas is essential, as impurities can cause column damage and inaccuracies in detection results. We provide gas generation for frequently used carrier gases, such as hydrogen and nitrogen.

Make-up gas

Used to enhance the movement of carbon ions through the detector to improve the signal, make-up gases can also improve the sensitivity of detection in gas chromatography. Nitrogen is an ideal choice for this application, due to its cost effectiveness in large volumes.

Fuel gas

Used to support combustion within the detector (e.g flame ionisation detector), the hydrogen-air gas creates the perfect flame for analysis. Parker provides gas generation solutions for flame support – a mix of hydrogen and zero air – to ensure accurate analyses, consistent results and detector sensitivity.

 

H-MD series

Using PEM (proton exchange membrane) technology, Parker domnick hunter gas generators provide a continuous supply of pure (99.99995%) hydrogen from deionized water. The H-MD model works at low pressure and with minimal stored volume, offering you added safety. The produced hydrogen can be used as carrier gas for the mobile phase, or as fuel gas for flame ionisation detectors.

H series

The H series also provides an ideal source of pure hydrogen (99,9995%) for fuel gas, or it can also be used as a carriers gas, like the H-MD series.

UHP-N2 series

Parker UHP-N2 is an ideal source of carrier gas, prodocing nitrogen with purity up to 99.9999%. The generator requires minimal maintenance - it is engineered to ensure maximum reliability and minimal operator attention. All UHP-N2 models can be equipped with an integral compressor, saving even more space within the laboratory.

UHP-ZA series

Parker UHP-ZA pure gas generators provide ultra high-quality zero grade air from an external compressed air source (organic impurity <0.1ppm). The generator is almost completely silent during operation, and can be mounted together with a Parker domnick hunter hydrogen generator.

UHP-ZN2 series

An industry-leading dual gas generator, the UHP-ZN2 provides both nitrogen and zero air for make-up gas applications. The generator produces ultra high-purity nitrogen from standard compressed air, with <0.1ppm hydrocarbon content. All models can come equipped with an integral compressor.

G6010 és G7010 models

The Parker nitrogen and dry air generators can produce ultra high-purity nitrogen and dry air suitable for make-up gas for improved analysis accuracy and reproducibility. All models can come equipped with an integral, oil-free compressor.
